The Bible is the most printed and sold book in the world. It is also perhaps the most unread, misunderstood and misquoted books in the world. People coming fresh to the Bible are often daunted by its size and language. There's really no need though and with our helpful guide we'll get you used to reading the Bible every day in no time at all!

The first thing you need to realize about the Bible is that it is not one large book, but a whole library of much smaller books - 66 books in fact! Some of those are tiny books which you could read from beginning to end in less than 5 minutes. Others are much much larger and would take you a week to wade through. The library of 6 books contains poetry, history, letters written from one person to another, books of law, books of prophecy, and the gospel accounts of Jesus' life - in other words something for everyone and something for every stage of life.

The next thing to learn about the Bible is that you don't need to read it like a novel. You can dip in and out anywhere - it's ALL GOOD! The books don't necessarily follow any particular order so you can open it up at any point.

A,B,C of Jesus

A

Almighty - Jesus is God Almighty, creator of the universe. He's not just some nice bloke from ancient Israel.

B

Baby - He gave up His place in heaven to become a tiny baby and grow into a normal man. God became one of us, to take our place, walk in our shoes and pay the price of our sin.

C

Christ - The greek word for Saviour - Jesus came to save us from ourselves, from our sin, and bring us back into the loving embrace of God.
