Playgroup is going well this year with Children 45 on the register and 85 sessions booked each week.
The staffing remains the same with a wonderful team of Rachel Karen Sarah Lisa & Berni.
After many years of service to the church and the playgroup 3 wonderful people left the committee recently: Pauline Woodall, Joyce Peel & Rob Hill. Thankyou for all there hard work and support. Happily new members have also joined the committee (Carrie Newell and Lynda Homfray) which is wonderful and Evan will be attempting to take over from Pauline in the position of chair for now which we hope will build stronger involvement between the church and playgroup.
We are still working in close partnership with Brenda Birch and the Leighswood Children Centre, they have supplied us with equipment over the past 12 months and still provide us with an extra staff member on Tuesday mornings and support from an early years teacher.
Donations this year have included a lovely wooden climbing frame from Philip Peel (Joyce & Derek's son), for which we are extremely grateful.
Safety flooring under the climbing frame which has come from Shenstone relief fund. Again, thank you for this generous donation.
One thousand pounds from early years to improve 2yr old welcome area which is being utilised now, and a children's computer from the community project from IBM. Finally, money generated from fund raising £200.
We would really value more involvement from members of the church as we seek to raise the Christian content of the playgroup each day. Please speak to Rachel or Evan if you would be able to come along and help in any way.
