Title: Lent Course - Sacrificial Saints

Description: Our Lent course this year is called "Sacrificial Saints" and lasts for 5 weeks. Each week will start at 8pm (come at 7.45 for drinks and nibbles). It will begin with a very brief act of worship, followed by 30 minutes of Bible teaching from Evan, leading us into group discussion. The groups will be small friendly. All are very very welcome, whether you're used to this or not, you'll find it is easy to understand and easy to join in with.

The idea behind "Sacrificial Saints" is that Lent is a time when traditionally Christians sacrifice something, but sacrifice isn't an idea which immediately appeals to us in today's fast past consumer driven culture. We want this year to look afresh at the Bible's ideas behind sacrifice and discover again what's good about sacrifice and how it can actually lead us into enjoying life a lot more and having more peace, contentment and joy in our lives. In short, by giving stuff up carefully, we actually gain more. Weird ... but true!
